Broad Growth & AI Infrastructure
SLB reported broad-based sequential growth across Latin America, Europe & Africa, Asia, and North America. This was supported by offshore activity, production optimization, and stronger unconventional demand. Although the Middle East remained affected by conflict-related disruptions, management noted that activity has begun recovering in certain countries. It expects improving regional activity, strengthening offshore investment and continued Digital adoption to provide a solid foundation heading into 2027.
The company also continued strengthening its long-term growth platforms. During Q2, Meta selected SLB as a delivery partner for a new 1 GW data center in Alberta. SLB also announced a strategic alliance with Liberty Energy to deliver modular infrastructure and integrated power generation solutions for AI data centers globally, reinforcing its expanding role beyond traditional oilfield services.
International Growth Broadens

Production Systems remained the strongest-performing division, with revenue increasing 7% sequentially. Higher OneSubsea activity, artificial lift and production technologies more than offset continued Middle East weakness. Digital revenue increased 9% sequentially, supported by stronger exploration software, Digital Operations and AI-enabled workflows. Reservoir Performance and Well Construction each declined 2% sequentially.
Cash Flows and Shareholder Returns
SLB generated $1.8 billion of operating cash flow and $1.04 billion of free cash flow during 1H 2026 while repurchasing $648 million of common stock in Q2. It maintained its quarterly dividend of $0.295 per share. The company also strengthened its Digital portfolio through the acquisition of Tachyus, adding advanced reservoir modeling capabilities that complement its growing AI and production optimization platform.
